Small Closet Makeover - Home Depot Closet Organization System

Since moving to this house, I’ve been planning on redoing my closet and finally decided to take care of it. My main goal was to maximize the space and add more storage. Most of the closet makeovers on Pinterest are done with Ikea Pax Wardrobe System, but it’s impossible to find anything in Ikea now, so Home Depot was a lifesaver!

Materials and Project Cost:

Tools Needed:

  • Table Saw

  • Multi-tool

  • Power drill

  • Screws

  • Wallpaper tools – smoother, sharp utility knife

Here is the before.

The goal was to finish this project quickly and on a budget since this is just a temporary space. So we decided to wallpaper the whole inside of the closet. Depending on the size of your closet, you might need more of the paper, because I was struggling with only two rolls. But, we made it work!

Once the wallpaper was ready, we had to cut the baseboard to fit the organizer tower. After securing the wardrobe, we installed drawers and shelves .

The clothing rods came with the closet system and they are adjustable, so it was really easy to install them. We also cut and installed laminate mounted shelves above hang rods to add storage at the top of the closet

And here is the final result that I am extremely happy with! All the work took only around 4 hours and I cannot wait now to redo all of our closets now!
